Hello there, friend! **whistles Little Bill theme**
So… what’s been going on with me since April 24th?
I went 3/3 at Regionals. Had awesome friends qualify to nationals. Had another awesome friend place seventh in the NATION in LD debate. Had an epical sister place second in Apologetics in the nation.
Got an electric guitar. xD I just need to pay my cousin for it now. =/
Wrote two new songs– that are really meant for an orchestra, but are supposedly gonna be played at the Chamber Music Festival, which started today. It’s epic. The Chamber Music Festival, not my song. :)
Have been feeding cats. WAAAAY too many cats. Summer’s vacation time, and naturally, people need someone to feed their pets and I, wanting to make some money, volunteered. I think I might hate cats now.
Saw new movies…
Toy Story 3,
Iron Man 2
…and Prince Of Persia.
Iron Man, I thought, rawked. Muchly. Prince Of Persia was cool I guess, but I mean, it was just one of those… movies that are cool just aren’t AMAZING. Like Toy Story 3 was. OH. MY. GOODNESS. Toy Story 3 was wow. Just wow. If you haven’t seen it yet, go buy a ticket. NOW.
Random picture I’ve just gotten around to editing:
…actually, unfortunately, it’s Todi’s camera… not mine. Pity. =P
So yesh, that’s basically all that’s happened. Befy’s going to Pennsylvania for a Pro-Life oratory contest thingymabober, and Todi’s gonna leave for Colorado in September, and New Zealand in October. I’m gonna be quite lonely.
RANDOM QUESTION OF THE DAY: Are one-year-olds SUPPOSED to know the meaning of the word “no” at that age?? Cuz Isabella likes to say it quite often now. =P
RANDOM ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE DAY: Um… actually I didn’t accomplish anything huge today. Oh wait!! I updated my blog. :)
RANDOM DISCOVERY OF THE DAY: I know someone who played in the orchestra for the Spiderman 3 soundtrack (and some other cool movie I’ve seen but forgot what it was =/ ) and she also played with Brittany Spears. That last part aint so cool. AND my teacher has a friend who’s recording a CD with a few members of Jars of Clay and the Newsboys. :)
SO, with that, uh, goodnight. :)

I’m fascinated with a lot of things. From atoms, to ants, to plants, to skyscrapers. It’s almost rare to find something that I’m not fascinated with. Yeah, I’m kind of just like that. Since I haven’t posted a real post on this blog in ever so long, I’ve decided to share some of my mind boggling -for me anyway, but then again, I’m kind of weird like that- “fascinations” with you.
{COLORS} Have you ever thought about it? I love color. I like some more than others, but I really can’t bring myself to “hate” any,
they all just fit so beautifully into the world. Speaking of which… I wonder what the world would look like without color? I gave myself a headache thinking about that too hard yesterday as we drove to ARC. Maybe I shouldn’t think too hard anymore. But what would the world look like if all the color just dripped out of everything? Would it be white? No… that’s all colors combined. Logically, that’s a color. Would it be brown, gray, or black? Nope, those are colors too… is there a color that’s colorless?? What does a person without eyes see? Do they see a color? No, they can’t see. Try imagining not seeing the color black -or any color for that matter- when you close your eyes. Maybe that’s what gave me the headache. Fascinating.
{MUSIC} This is going to get repetitive. I’m going to end up saying “I love ___” for every little category, cause
I’m sorry, I just love music. Really, think about it. Where did it start? Did Adam and Eve just randomly start singing “All You Need Is Love”? Uh, no. I laughed thinking about that. It started with things they were familiar with. Things like the wind, and the rain. The sound of a bird singing the first song of the dawn. Now fast forward a few thousand years to the present. I listen to the music we have now, and it’s the neatest thing. It actually creates different moods. It’s as if it goes in our ears in into our brain and effects some nerve that makes us feel a certain way. And this is the same thing that was originally the sound of wind and rain. I don’t know the real science behind all this, but either way, it’s incredible. Fascinating.
{WORDS} Sometimes it feels like I have multiple personalities. As my mom says, I’ll be quiet as a mouse, while other times, I talk… a lot. Probably too much, so I think I like the former more. Cause the only reason I’m so quiet sometimes is because I just like
to listen. To words. They’re very fascinating, if you ask me. I wonder how Adam and Eve communicated… and then I wonder what language it would have been. Weird how much can be communicated by just making noises. Like in Star Wars, those creatures that just communicate with making clicky sounds. Or R2-D2 just making those beeping noises, and somehow people understood him. I always thought that was the weirdest thing. I actually find myself thinking “Wow, imagine what it would be like to communicate solely by making noises with your teeth and tongue!” Uh, hold on a second. That’s what we do. Kind of odd. Isn’t it also weird that you can determine what tone I’m using when I type this? Like when there’s a question mark, the voice in your head that’s reading this automatically goes up a little to imply it’s a question, not a statement. I’m really glad I wasn’t around at the tower of Babel where English originated, it would have been so confusing. At the same time, I think I’d like to go back in a time machine just to observe that moment. Words are incredible. Fascinating.
{BOOKS} Right now I’m reading -and almost through with- Saint by Ted Dekker. It’s amazing. How on earth does he do that?? How can any author
write like that? Make characters that seem real. Like they were really alive at some point, instead of just inside someone’s head and on a page. Where I am in the book, the main character, Johnny Drake, is running from his enemy who prefers to go by his codename I suppose you could call it, Englishmen. As you’re reading the book you can feel the tension and excitement at the same time. It’s just letters on a page– and those same letters on a page can make you sob, laugh, smile, frown, etc. Fascinating.
Yeah, I’m fascinated with a lot of things. That was maybe 5% of them. I suppose you could say…
I’m fascinated with being alive.

Yeah, uh… I can’t really dress it up, I haven’t posted in almost a month. You all survived without me, right?

Yesh, I live. Surprising as it seems. Just so ya’ll know that, although it seems like it, I have NOT been ,
-kidnapped by a ravaging kung-fu turtle,
-abducted by aliens, had my brains sucked out, and am now simply a robot doomed to be mechanical for the rest of my life,
-killed when riding a subway by the under-minor (I’ll bet no one will get that reference),
-zombified by an evil scientist named Bob who takes pleasure in zombification,
-had Jane Austen stab me through the heart with a marshmellow toaster,
-drowned in a sea of cookie batter, goldfish, and baby food,
-mashed into the concrete with a hammer by Bob The Builder whilst Dizzy sang “can we do it??” and Scoop replying “yes we can!” over and over
However I HAVE,
-been overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to be done. I.E- Music, School, Debate, etc. ![]()

Yeah, uh, I kinda, um, well, yeah, have, uh…
….neglected this poor old blog. I apologize. But see, life hast been busy. So very, very busy. Why?
A) Foster Kids. Oh yeah, did I mention that Isabella’s name really isn’t what we thought it was? Or something like that. Now we have to call her this really bizarre name. She looks nothing like it.
B) AHHHHHHH!!! WE ARE LEAVING TO GO TO NEW MEXICO DAY AFTER TOMORROW!! It’s for a speech and debate tournament… *Exhausted sigh* …I have ever so much to do before then…
C) School, school, and schoooool.. *moans* …did I tell you I was behind? Wull’ I am. Fir’ tha’ first time, in… well a long time. So I’m thinking about bringing some to do in the car on our way to NM.
D) Music. ‘Nuff said.
…Now that I’ve thought up enough excuses, I shall… well, what shall I do to keep you happy? Comment and let me know, sometime.

Yeah, I know, I already did a post yesterday or something but I figured I might go ahead and post pictures from the last tournament anyhow…
SOOOOOOOOO…
.. *sings* Katie broke, Katie broke, Katie broke…
…and we were pretty cool with that…
And then Anna and I broke… (for the first time in debate)
…we were cool with that too…
I think the pig felt displaced at this last tournament. He didn’t get vury many pictures. So in honer of the displaced (with what, I’m not quite sure) pig, I present one of his only pictures…
[insert scary music]
Joy and I took our job as um, official goof off-ers vury seriously.
Anna and Paul giving me a lecture before my last round…
…yup, all in all, twas an excellent tournament.

Yup, it’s that time of year. Blogoversary time. At least for this blog.
I have now had my blog for precisely 731 days. Two years and a day. I forgot to mention that it was my blogoversary yesterday, but better late than never, right?
So. I thought to commemorate the occasion, I would trace back my blogs’ histories.
So firstly- The Castle. The Castle was my first blog ever. It was started on HSB on February 14th, 2008. Why did I leave this blog? Because…well, I didn’t really like HSB. Plus WordPress is jus’ plain kewl. So I moved from The Castle, to my WordPress one which is yet to have a name. So there The Castle died. Rest in peace. But wait! A light from yonder window shows new hope!! That new hope for The Castle came from Paul and Brian. Paul and Brian created a new site that pretty much sums up with one word. EPIC. So, not wanting to sacrifice my semi-new at the time WordPress blog, I let them transfer The Castle. So now, The Castle’s location is at JibeNow. And not only that, but it developed an awesome name, too. It’s now entitled The Most Awesomest Blog On The Block. Epicness at it’s fullest. Kinda.
And so ends the story of my blogging life. In short, I’ve had a lotta blogs in a lotta places. I didn’t even mention some of ‘em cause I never even did anything to them. These were just my main three.
In conclusion– be wise and don’t have a billion blogs in a billion different places. The result will be nothing but a bunch of fellow bloggers complaining and saying you need to update your blog more often when chances are all you did was forget about it.
The end.

…You get that sudden urge to jump into your swimming pool- and then realize that that probably would not be the best idea, as the water in the pool is only 20 degrees max.
…You go outside in hopes of finding a decent spot to build some sort of fort, and two minutes later come shivering back inside in search of some source of heat.
…Your little siblings aren’t aloud to go play in the lake- err, puddle in the backyard because it has suddenly mwarfed into an ice skating rink.
…You start planning for your dream garden in January.
*Sigh* Yesh, needless to say, I am extremely ready for spring…it just seems so dreadfully far away… *Another wishful sigh*
